If ever proof was needed that a woman can do anything she puts her mind to – KAREN RUIMY is it!
Here is an author who quit the floors of the stock market for those of the dance floor and in doing so took strength in following her dream to perform, dance and write.
Unlike many who are trapped spiritually and emotionally, Karen had the courage to seek out her inner creative and artistic spirit and in ‘The Voice of The Angel” she shares her own life mantras that guided and directed her in times of challenge and disappear. Helping her to once again rise to the top – but this time in a profession and ‘space’ where she was in control and was content and liberated.
The Voice of the Angel published by Quartet is a handy guide of her personal, philosophical and spiritual ‘sayings’ enhanced with illustrative imagery offering people everywhere a manual to follow their heart, visualize their personal and professional future and ultimately realize their dreams.
‘The Voice of The Angel’, Karen’s second book, is designed as a practical ‘life manual’ for people to gain spiritual happiness and fulfillment. Over 144 pages Karen hopes to inspire people – stuck in dead end jobs, which are prisoners in relationships or spiritually bankrupt to take control and to live more fulfilling and meaningful lives.
Karen was born in Morocco, before at an early age moving Paris. Growing up was tough for Karen and yet laid the foundations for her deeply spiritual and creative thinking. She realized at an early age that ‘when you are different you fight twice as hard’. A mantra, which has stuck with her to this day and underpins the sayings in ‘The Voice of The Angel’,
After much soul searching she took the courageous decision to change careers and follow a very different path – devoting herself to her spiritual calling and passion that of writing and ‘dance’.
Since following her dream, Karen has gone on to perform, direct and produce flamenco in some of the most prestigious venues in London and Paris. In 2008 she presented ‘Flamenco Nueva’ for two sell-out seasons at the ‘Casino de Paris’ and the ‘Folies Bergère.’ Then came a show at the Lyric Theatre in 2010, directed by BBC TV’s Strictly Come Dancing judge Craig Revel Horwood.
Today Karen is a multi-talented author, songwriter, performer and champion of good causes. She has critical acclaim for her work and this summer sees: the release of a crossover chill out album with leading producer Youth and a series of high anticipated live performances at London’s Riverside Studios. .
Karen published her first book The Angel’s Metamorphosis in 2010. The book was a study of her quest for spiritual fulfillment.
