Kamaliya signs agency for London visit
KAMALIYA COMES TO LONDON TOWN – pop singer, model and Hollywood actress
Kamaliya is one of the Ukrainian’s most popular female performers – a multi-talented singer, songwriter, model and now Hollywood actress staring alongside, Sharon Stone, Andy Garcia and James Woods!
This Christmas sees her go head-to-head with the ‘X Factor’ winner. Her debut UK single Crazy In My Heart is then released and she hopes to realize her ambition of reaching the top of the charts in Europe. The song is a taster of what we can expect from her in 2012 UK when new material and live dates are planned.
Kamaliya is a household name and one of the biggest live acts in her native Russia – a regular on all of the major LIVE music events and television shows. In the last year she has performed no less than 50 times and to date has released 4 albums. No one genre describes Kamaliya live – she illustrates her talents in combining: pop with opera, R&B with Blues and Ballads with Dance. She is simply a unique musical talent hoping to replicate her success here in Europe.
Kamaliya is not only about music. Crowned Mrs. World in June 2008 – Kamaliya is the only woman from the Ukraine to have ever won the Global beauty contest. After winning the contest, Kamaliya joined an international peace delegation to promote South Korea. Today she is a highly sought-after international model regularly appearing in Russian magazines and newspapers.
After her success in the pageant Kamaliya diversified into film and is now also known as a ‘movie star’. In 2010 she debuted in the comedy “My Widow’s Husband” alongside a host of popular Russian actors. Kamaliya played one of the leads in the hit film, produced as a joint-venture between Russia, Ukraine, Lithuania, Poland & Israel. She went on to film another comedy in the form of ‘Million up to sky’ where she had the female lead playing a seductive assistant who escorts her all-too-busy and married boss everywhere he goes. She is due to start filming a major Hollywood blockbuster “Officer Down” in early 2012 featuring Stephen Dorff, James Woods, Stephen Lang, Vincent Purcell etc. In the film, What about Love (previously The Accident), produced by Klaus Menzel, Kamaliya plays the part of the Russian origin wife of US ambassador in Romania who also is an established singer alongside such notable actors as Sharon Stone & Andy Garcia.
Kamaliya uses her newfound fame to help and support a range of charities including but not limited to: women’s causes namely breast cancer; children’s and HIV related causes, drug and other kinds of addiction and she was hugely supportive of the Pakistan Earthquake disaster.
Kamaliya is married to a British national & one of the Ukraine/Russia’s most influential publisher and diversified businessman Mohammad Zahoor. He is hugely supportive of her career and is widely acknowledged as giving Kamaliya a shot at fame.
After performing, Kamaliya’s other big love is animals. She has an extraordinary array of pets including: 8 dogs, 2 rabbits, 3 cats, 3 parrots and 5 horses. She is an avid horse rider.
Kamaliya has been interested in music from an early age. When her father was posted as the Military pilot in Budapest at an early age she sang and danced in the children’s ensemble ‘The Jingle”. She later learnt to play the Violin and took Opera singing classes – skills that she uses in her writing to this day.
Kamaliya has won many accolades in her career including for her hit ‘Is It Love’ which was nominated for Russia’s ‘Song of the Year’ and in 2004 she was awarded the title ‘Honorary Artist of Ukraine for her outstanding achievements in developing Ukraine culture’.
Kamaliya is the singers stage name – she was born Natalya Shmarenkova.
